Hi this is my weekend I am especially proud of my sierra. It turned out gorgeous

This is my finally pen it a first attempt on filigree pen in purpleheart it got a few faults but all up I am pleased with the pen

Hi Eric, The photo of the closeup is the top pens wood. It was to nice not to take a close up. I am so proud of that pen.

Take one gorgeous blank and one plain blank of the same wood with similar coloring. Use the figured piece for both bottoms and the plain piece for both tops. Voila! Two beautiful pens!

They look good Toni, never seen buckeye burl that dark. Has it been dyed? I haven't yet worked up the nerve to try the filigree pens yet, they sit in my basement, waiting...

I believe that is the natural spalted color. I had some buckeye that are even darker than this (darker does not necessarily mean better) [;)].
