used neon food dyes and 14 coats of CA. haha how do you like the backdrop? man it was hard to get him to sit still!

I used to dye my ash tool handles, the only problem with ash is the open grain, but it soaks up dye nicely

Zander the pen looks great the dog deserves a union scale treat,

ash should work, curl stands out and maple takes a good dye so i like curly maple best.
i turned and sanded to like 600 then applied dye, buffed till color stopped coming off on towel, and applied 14 coats of CA
