I couldn't decide which one to give after making two so I'm sending both.
First is a segmented captive ring. I never liked the look of the contrasting wood in the main pen so I create a dowel of the main pen wrapped with the contrasting wood for the ring. These provide endless hours of mindless enjoyment.
Second is a pen that tells a lot about me - I'm cheap. It's what I call a "3 cent" pen. Pennies before 1982 were mostly copper and after 82 zinc. I find they make a nice mental segmented pen with a good story to tell.
