I just received this pen (along with some blanks, golf balls and tee's) from James White. The pine comes from The "World's Most Dangerous Golf Course". Camp Bonifas, Korean Demilitarized Zone.

I sure like the profile and the finish is really good! James got the pine from the golf course (risk his life for me - wow!) and I like the coloring and the small knots. Thanks James - now if I can just find out what kind of wood you sent me. They look like they will make excellent pens. HWH

WOW, I really like that profile. And talk about risky. That wood has to be almost paper thin in those valleys, especially on the nib end. That took a steady hand, and probably lots of checking with calipers.

I love it! Fantastic shape, wood with a story, geat grain, you can't get anything better. I've never played at Camp Bonifas but played at Camp Casey a few times.
