I'm still at the simple segmenting stage, and also learning to adapt when things don't go perfectly. Therefore, wellsw will notice that this cigar is a touch shorter then usual... :)

I like olive wood a lot, both the smell, the look, and that it reminds me of where I grew up. On a visit to israel, I stopped in a Druze village called Isfiya, and at the local woodworking shop, went thru the olive wood that had recently been cut and picked out some nice ones. The pen I made is from one of these, together with a bit of snakewood.

:island: A good story makes any pen more interesting. The fact that you went to Israel and picked out the wood yourself, and made the pen yourself makes it even more heartfelt. Anyone would be proud to show this pen and relate the story behind it. Nice work !!! Jim S

Just remember that you are probably the only one that ever will notice your own "mistakes." I prefer to think of them as Plantman did as character marks.
