I was finally able to get these done and I'll be sending them on thier way tomorrow. The first is a spalted pecan with segmented bloodwood designer. The pecan blank was from Curtis's blank offer. I'm starting to get the hang of this segmenting stuff. I do love how the body fits into a recess I made in the upper barrel, it's so much cleaner looking that way. It has a CA finish and is MM to 12000 and polished with plastX. The second pen...well lets just say I was inspired to make something that might start a bidding war being Texas and all and I know how they love football I made a blank to match Texas U colors and put it on a Long Click. Making that burnt orange is a chore but I think I'm pretty darn close. Swirled it with some white and here you have it. I'm happy with my results and I hope it will generate some $ for Cody and his family. Thanks for looking and as always comments are more than welcome!
