I collect, buy, sell, and trade old marbles so I thought I would create a pen that was marble related. This is what I came up with. The marble at the top of the pen is a half marble, the wood is Leapard wood with different color glitter inlays to represent different colored marbles. I recessed the clip in the upper closed end then epoxyed the half marble over the clip.

Dang George I lost my marbles years ago, now I know who found them [:D][)]. Nice looking pen though. ?Anyway you can drill a hole through the center of marbles and slide a tube in?? Just a thought.

Thanks Tom, drilling the marbles was my first attempt. Drilling thru a 5/8" marble without breaking it is next to impossible even using a diamond drill bit with cooling liquids, but that would make a cool looking pen.

Very unique, nice job on the pen.
I wonder how many kids today know what a marble is ?
I use to hate when some kid would come into a game with steelies [:0]
Probablly can't even buy them today. Since some kid would eat them, chip a tooth then choke on it and then would sue. [:0]
