Hello Everyone
Here are my latest slimline's I got the kits on ebay from The Woodturner's Store, They are nice and fit together well. I sanded each blank from 150 to 12000 and finished with 3 coat's of Hut Crystal Coat. The woods are listed in order of the photo's 1)Zebrawood, 2)Purpleheart, 3)Bloodwood, 4)Wenge, 5)Marblewood, 6)Paduck ,7)Lacewood , 8)Camelthron, 9)Paduck, 10)Kiatt.
I had a lot of fun with these pens and I think they look ok. Any and all comments are welcome.

Nice pens! You liked the kits? I am thinking of getting the cigar kits from them. I was just wondering why their prices are about half of everyone else.

Thanks for sharing,

Thanks Dan and Ray for the nice comments. Dan at this point I like the kits, time will tell how the plating holds up. I did have to file the inside of two clips just a bit to get the cap to go through.
Ray I started turning yesterday afternoon and got 4 done and I finished up the last 6 today about. I don't have one bloodwood blank left but no kits. I think I'll order a few sierra kits for our friends over at exotic blank I want to make some pens for my brothers and a friend of Evelyn's, Some were along the line I might make a pen for me.

Update to yesterdays post....... Evelyn think's I should get another 10 pack of kits and more blanks so I can have more pens to give as gifts, so it's off to woodcraft this week for blanks, a new set of bushings and lathe pen press adapter. I'll also place an order to amazon.com for the kits. I guess I'll be busy in the coming days, weeks and maybe months.

Great looking work Dan!! I would still encourage you to avoid the fat-lady pen syndrome common to many slim makers and adapt them. Slims are the most adaptable kit short of kit-less. Make your own center band and make a pen the width you'd like that looks like it should be wider.
