Hi everyone, this is my newest painted pen, decided I had to get back to turning before something terrible happened [}:)]. This is flamed box elder on a Classic American pen kit. I am being told to enter this one in the state fair this year, opinions welcome, oh, they won't let me enter as a rookie anymore :(

Have a great day everyone, have missed ya all but I am back to cause mayham again. :D

Janet ;)

Hi everyone, for those who have been asking how I put a finish over my painting on these pens, I use a CA finish and many, many, many coats of it. Thank you for the compliments and its great to be back.

AWESOME!!! I am always amazed on how people can paint like that. Good luck in the competition!!! Do you put the CA on so thick the pen is smooth? It dosen't look like you have a problem with fit and finish. How do you compensate?
Thanks
Gary
