Here are some of the latest pens I have done using metal strips and inlays.

I cut the 'groves' with a cnc milling machine and a .0312" mill bit.
I use the Gorilla Glue to glue them in.

Here is a photo of the construction.

Yes, I often try a design idea on a pen before it is used in a pool cue.
I am currently building a cue with the curved design metal strips in the butt end. It will look very much like the pen ... Silver strips in Cocobolo.
The cnc machine that I have was designed for inaying pool cues but it was easily adapted to also do inlays in pens. I would never have spent that much money on a machine just to inlay pen.
There is a panograph inlay machine for about 1/4 the cost that is just the ticket for inlaying pens.

Here is a link to it.

Mr. Lee, wonderful line-up of your work. Very well done indeed!

Could you tell us what pantograph you are talking about, please. Any links to the information would be very well accepted here I am sure. Also, what CNC machine are you using?

I know that once we all see what he is using we will have to start saving up for quite some time I'm sure! [;)]
