This is what my latest shop time produced.

The first is a Zen kit, with Japanese Chiyogami-Yuzen paper cast in Alumilite Clear.

The second pen is a Sienna, cast with chestnut husks (courtesy of Jim Smith) in blue and white Alumilite with blue powder flakes.

The last is a plain old Slimline turned into a fancy, beautiful pen, using Chiyogami-Yuzen paper. IMHO!

C&C are welcomed!

Being that I am 'not in the know', is it necessary to use Alumilite to cast this paper? Or could one 'get by' by using PR?

Love them all!!!

PR works just fine, as does CA if you don't want to cast. If I use a CA finish, I will turn a scrap barrel just undersize first and glue the paper to that. This will let you use more of the print. Jim S

You can certainly do it the CA way but you do end up with a slightly "fat" blank that doesn't line up with the bushings, but if that's the look you're going for, great! PR and Alumilite will give you a more robust blank in the end.
