This was my submission in this years kitless contest.

This is a rollerball pen made out of vintage cellulose acetate from the 20s and 30s. I decided I wanted the body and front section to be one piece. Which meant originally the entire front section was threaded all the way to the current threads. I had to turn those off and then clean up the thread starts by hand (a new thing for me). Threads are triple start.

The cap is the only thing I am unhappy with. I let the clip notch get a touch to hot which made the notch slightly too big. The clip is secure but only because I had to spot place some CA...which didn't work the first few times and was not fun scraping off without damaging the pen. Finally got it to an acceptable point.

The nose cone is from a Zen. Soon I will adjust the saddle and carriage on my metal lathe and make them myself.

Dimensions:

Capped: 5 1/2" ~ 140mm
Cap: 2 3/4" (just shy of) ~ 60mm
Body: 4 1/4" ~ 107mm
Body + Nose cone (and refill tip): 5 1/4" ~ 134mm
