I was in Woodcraft yesterday and bought one of their “Santa fe†blanks and decided to see what could be done with it. Cut it up and glued it last night and turned it today.

GREAT job with the glue-up! Nice shape to the pen, too, and the fit and finish look excellent. I am impressed that you were able to get everything to line up that well (getting the "grain" to line up). I think you've got a real winner there!

What does it look like rotated 90 degrees?

<br />Mudder, one side is better than none in my book! Nice job.

Two sides look good, The other two sides just don't look quite how I wanted them to. I know what I need to do for the next one.

Good looking pen. Great way to accept the challenge and when you are able to learn from any mistakes even the more impressive.
