Hey fellas, I'm relatively new to the forum but have been making pens for quite a few years and thought you might like to see my little corner of the world. The shop is still a work in progress. Great forum BTW!!

chriselle,
What a nice little corner of the world it is. Hows business? It looks like you keep yourself pretty busy. Do you make all the pens yourself? Great looking display and even greater looking pens.

Thanks guys,

Hank, as we discussed before....If you're ever up in the area, do drop in.

Altacii, I made most of these pens but admittedly there are a few (a Baron, a Churchill, a Statesman) in this bunch that I had a fellow in Canada make because I simply just could not keep up with orders this summer. Europeans, streamlines and sierras were hot sellers. Business has and continues to be steady....surprising actually.

Thats great. I really like the set up, its very clean and sharp. It gives the pens a very good backround for presentation. Are you set up in a mall?

The showcase IS a little cluttered right now...lol I'm working on the bottom case tomorrow and I'm moving some of the pens from the top down there.

No, we aren't in a mall but it is a funky little building with a bunch of very talented artists with similar little spaces as mine.

Chriselle; I think you have a great display, it looks like a real nice little corner of the world, I love the Marble ties for background for the pens with others shown straight off the glass, I'm glad to see some of your work. Small craft groups are a blast we were in one in San Francisco many years ago.

Yes, the group of artist are very friendly and good people. Some of the potters though are a little too....Umm,,"down to earth"...lol. The owner of the complex calls then outright, "Weird!".

As for the display, if anyone has any ideas for different layouts I'm all ears.

Very nice!! You should this also post in marketing and show forum.
Did I see a price for an Euro that said 33800 Yen ($335)???

Yes, you did...lol. I have little to do with the pricing. Thats my wife's "thing". Sometimes I just roll my eyes but to be honest I have sold more pens in the $200 to $300 range than I have of pens on the other ends of the scale. That particular crosscut Zeebrawood Euro for $350 has been my #1 seller. Customers here shy away from the bigger pens hence the large numbers of Euros and Sierras. I of course, prefer making ANYTHING other than Euros...lol.

Wow ... nice work .. nice displays, too.
The amobyna pen looks great.

I'm not so surprised that business is good there, stationary stores and others
that carry pens/pencils are much more popular with Japanese people than
a lot of others. I used to go to a store that catered to local Japanese clients
and the pen department was large and always busy.
