What do you do with the tips of antler? I found out from alobotnad at IAP(http://www.penturners.org/forum/showthread.php?t=78865). Thanks for the inspiration Daniel.

Antler tip cast in PR with green PealEx. Dry sanded to 600 grit. 2 coats of thin CA. Polished with HUT twice.

Thanks for looking. Comments are welcome.

Wow...I need to start casting to use up my "unusable" antler parts.
Great Job! Thanks for sharing.

cracks

Dan: I believe you stated you had some cracks come into your efforts at this hybridization. Where were the checks, at the joint of the acrylic and antler or just in one of the parts? I have some antler, given to me by a guide from Al., that I didn't know what I was going to do with it, This looks like fun. I've been turning some alligator jaw bone tonight. That's fun too. Quite challenging. :) Thanks in advance for any advice you can share. joefyffe
