My first two attempts at the ever time consuming 360 Herringbone pens. The two piece comfort pen in the front was the first, and it has some issues because I went into it pretty much blind and did not really know what to look out for. I rate it as a no go , lots of filler in joints and did not alternate the segments and other problems. The Polaris is better but still developed a few problems , but not as bad .

We are always our own toughest critics....

I see two very difficult blanks to build that are not all that bad. The individual piesec used in the blanks might be down-sized a little, but that would be the only change. And I actually like the larger amounts of filler, it shows off the segmenting better.

Scott: I agree with the down sizing of the pieces, I thought I would make the glue up a little easier being it was the first ones. I cut enough pieces for aprox. three more pens as I had the jig set up. I am already working on testing smaller pieces to make a glue up jig so I can glue up more than one at a time.
