Red one (redheart?) was first. Wife likes the red wood, but would like it better with the chrome. I think I agree.

The pens look pretty good!
Don't try to second guess which hardware plating's would look best with which wood....someone would always want the other plating. Just make more pens:biggrin:

Excellent job keeping the grain aligned on both pens. I'm fond of deep reds, so that one is my favorite of the two.

The finish on both is Myland's friction polish. I eventually want to "graduate" to a CA finish once I get the drilling, turning, etc. down.

I think the red is my favorite too, but I did better on the zebrawood. On both pens, I didn't turn enough on the ends so there's a slight drop off from wood to metal. The zebrawood pen only has that problem at the center band.
