The goblet was a gift for the mother in law. Made from sweet chestnut.
The tea light holder is made from spalted beech.
The Welsh milking stool for my little girl.
Jumbo knitting needles from mahogany for my sister.
This light pull was one of my first turnings. As some have said, it resembles a toilet handle more. Personally I think it looks more like a sex toy. Lol!
They're not the best as I've only been turning a very short while and still very green and wet behind the ears.
Wood turning is like therapy to me. I suffer with a severe chronic disease and can only stand for short periods before I'm in an awful lot of pain.
When I'm at the lathe I can forget all my stresses and struggles and just get drawn into the piece ( not literally as that really wouldn't be good! ) It's amazing to watch a rough chunk of timber become a thing of beauty.
