My first She-oak pod cast

I have just started casting, this is my first one of these blanks.

I have a She-oak tree beside my shed so I have a ready supply of the pods, I have been collecting enough for a full size blank every couple of days as they drop onto the ground.

Sweet pen, the blank looks like it was made from what i call sweet gum seed pods where i live...

She-oak is a common name for the Casuarina tree, it grows in many coastal areas in Australia, I'm not sure if it grows in other countries as well.

I have a couple of Jr tubes glued up with a blank out of my 2nd cast, hopefully will turn them up tonight.
