My first RB - Cambridge in Thuya Burl

I am finally getting enough courage to wander beyond ball points. Here's my latest...a Cambridge SS/Gold in thuya burl. I call this kit "pocket bling" or "desk bling". I already have an interested buyer .

That's beeyootiful! I think doing that pen in a ballpoint would be a mismatch. I view ballpoints as being low-end, with rollerball in the middle and fountain being the best.

And there doesn't seem to be any difference between making a ballpoint and a rollerball, in terms of technique.

Thanks folks. I was told by one customer that it looked gawdy, but I have another "thinking about it"...so different strokes for different folks. I am thinking about doing another in amboyna burl after I finish a couple other orders....having fun!
