Top one looks like Olivewood ... what's the other (don't recognize the wood) ?

The top one is olive wood. The bottom one is either stabilized box elder or stabilized buckeye burl, I forgot which one I used (yes I am still a rookie!)!

Very nice--I like the lines and the finish, from what I can see looks good. Easier to make that the Slims, eh? :)

Excellent Pens Roland,
Superb Blanks, on the Ever Popular Nautical Hardware.
While Antique Brass and Copper are Popular Nautical Finishes, IMHO, I feel that these Blanks do not contrast enough to the hardware finish, and do not quite give the Visual Impact that could be obtained, if that was in fact your desire.
Never the less, Your Fit and Finishes are Excellent.

Roland, very nice choice of wood for each pen. That is a very strong statement made by the Nautical Theme kit and you have balanced it very well by your selection of color and figuring in the wood. I can hear the wind in the rigging just looking at them!
