I sold my first pen. It also was the first time I put together a Jr. Gent.

Thank you Chris and Ed. I was told that the wood is fruit wood from So. America. I did open the cap a little for the picture to align the grains. When I followed the directions supplied, I must have twisted things just alittle. When fully closed, the gain is out of alingment.......but it still looks good to me and the customer loved the finished work.
And yes, it is nice to recieve money for something you love doing.

The pen looks great and congrats on the sale!
Just to check the alignment on the wood - if you insert the pen into the cap like you were going to screw it in with the wood aligned- make sure the nib is inserted against the cap threads then back up till you feel the first click then screw the cap on. That will get your best alignment.

That looks great for a first. Like the wood and the orientation of the grains. Congrats on the sale and more pens to come. Turning can be very addicting.
