Here is my first pen.

First item learned was to turn the ends closer to the bushings. Using the center band sure did reveal that characteristic.

Same pen without the center band.

Well at least you know what you did wrong and you were able learn from it. Our mistakes are our best learning tools. As long as you had fun, that's all that matters. The slimline pens come apart pretty easy, you could do it over, but I'd keep it the way it is for a keepsake and lesson learned. [:)]

As stated earlier, always good to keep the first for comparison. Learning is half the fun. My first pen didn't look as good as yours. But the seed of addiction was planted deep enough to keep on turning!!! [:p]

The first one is always sentimental - I keep mine hanging up so I can use it as a reminder for everything I did wrong! Yours definately looks better than my first one!

Good learning tool. The pen is not bad. My first came out oversized too. It is still sitting on the bench as a reminder of how far I have come in a short time. It will always sit there. Nice job.
