I just finished these yesturday. They are both Black Walnut. The Navigator is Chrome and the European is Platinum. I think they both turned out really nice. I hope the pictures do them justice.

Really great looking lines and shape to these pens. It's nice to see Black Walnut on pens. I don't think it's used enough.

I bought two billets of walnut back in the 90's for making jewlery boxes. It made some pretty boxes. It had been sitting in my dad's shop ever since. My dad has decided he is getting too old to work in his shop so he has started passing tools on to me when we go home to visit. I brought back some Mahogony and the Walnut along with a jointer and router & table this last trip. I think there is enough for me to make 12 or so more walnut blanks and a boat load of Mahogony. His letting go of the tools has been hard for him and me. It has been hard to come to grips with the fact that my parents will not be here forever.
