This is my first attempt at anything resembling a high end pen. The wood is a burl that I found at the local Rockler and was labeled as Rahador. I'm not sure what it really is.

Looks nice, but it looks like the finish is nice and shiney in some spots and really dull in other spots. Was that from your fingers?
