Took quite a few attempts before these. But I finally came up with these gun shell pens that didn't fall apart and wasn't covered in Gorilla glue. I used a 270 and a 7mm shell and a Slimline pen kit minus the nib and center band. I used just a 270 shell for the keychain pen. I used a Slimline click pen kit for the click pen. That took the most figuring to get the lengths of the shell right so it would retract correctly.

The click pen was kind of tough to do at first. I used the Click pen kit from Woodcraft. I found that the center band of the kit fits inside of the 270 shell. So if you cut the shell and the pen tube just right, the center band aligns the top 7 mm shell. Also you have to drill out the inside of the copper slug so the spring will turn without getting hung up. Then you got to deal with the top lengths so it will retract the pen.
