zebrawood with 6 coats of Minwax laquer, then buffed, the shine didn't show up at all in the pics:frown:

Zander, you've been turning a lot shorter time than I have and I still haven't made any Dip or Calligraphy pens, you done good kid, very pretty pen indeed, (My family goes back to County Cork,) . O`Ferrell was a fine respected name (till I was born):biggrin::biggrin:

dunno too much of my tree off the top of my head but all Irish on my moms side, and on my dad's side I'm a direct decendent of the poet EE Cummings
