Recently purchased some Emperors from CSUSA, here are some of my first Emperors. Coupled with the Emperors are also my first use of the Gemstone blanks from AS, I believe CSUSA call them "TruStone". After reading the blurb that AS had on them, I practised diligently on crosscut wood before attempting to turn them, I found Xcut wood far more challenging to turn than the GemStone blanks, hard yes, heavy yes, but not as difficult as Xcut wood. The first is "White with Gold Matrix", the next set are Tasmanian Maple Burl. Hope you like them, comments and advice appreciated. Amos:)

You can't use parentheses in file names. Rename them, try the upload again.

I've deleted the bad links.

Great looking pens!!! I'd never heard that tip to practice on x-cut wood prior to trustone but I guess it does make sense. Glad to hear it isn't as bad as it sounds to turn. I guess if it was a lot less would be sold. :D

Amos, I think all the pens are great. The wood/non-wood look fabulous and the colours match the kits nicely. I think I see a couple of fingerprints on the bodies of the pens, having said that I assume that the pictures people post are for this site only and they will take 'better' pics for their web sites. The one thing that doesn't work for me at all is the red background. I know already that my eyes are sensitive (EVERY headlight looks like a high beam at night) and I found that I was moving my head back from the screen and squinting my eyes closed so I could see.

Is the Emperor the same as the Cambridge?

these look really nice Amos, unfortunatally there isn't much more I can add that hasn't been said already.
I like the boxes also, you make those too, or are they purchased?

Thanks for the comments, the boxes are from CSUSA, unfortunately they are now a close out item with them, would like to know where to get them when they run out. The red background i only use rarely, reason for its use with the green, it showed up the green better than some other backgrounds, and sorry for the fingerprints, should have wiped them off before photographing. Or, maybe i should say it was on purpose to prove they are mine!!Ha!Amos:)
