My first dye job

This is a black birch burl European pen from CSUSA I turned for my daughter. I still have a lot of improving to do, but she loves it! I'm happy!

That is cool. I am beginning to grow to like a lot of these. did you use food coloring or something else?

Thanks guys!
I rubbed red food coloring into it, light sanded with 1000 grit after it dried, then applied CA as a finish to protect the "dye".

I've got a green one in the works for my son, now.
