My first deer antler

My first attempt at turning antler. Was furnished by a friend who commissioned the pen and pencil set. Turned yesterday and assembled today. Turned out to have a lot of color due to the marrow I presume. The fittings are rhodium and were done with CA finish. Comments and suggestions most welcome. Regards, Rob
