I'm pretty happy with how my first copper braid blank turned out. I was a little nervous, because for some reason I just can't get carbon fiber to come out nicely.

Very nice. I have yet to try this, keep wanting to though.
What was your process like?

Basically like any other braid material. Cut the braid extra long, so you have plenty of material to work with. Insert the tube, and stretch it tight, then I use thin CA glue, through the braid, to adhere it. After letting the CA cure up, for a few days, I cut the ends flush with the tube, and then cast in PR.

That came out very well. Always loved the look of the copper braiding. Yes the copper will stay that color because you encased it in resin.

John, I saw your pens quite a while ago, and they are what inspired me to try this one.

Well Dan if i had any small part in you giving this a try I have to say you picked up very nicely. Goes good with the kit too. Thanks for showing.
