My first closed ended pen...I keep thinking it looks weird without an embellishment on the closed end. But it was fun making it.

YEAH!!! I Like it too!! Beautiful pen! Nice selection and awesome execution! What's next? Custom finial maybe??

Thank you for your suggestions and kind comments. I didn't really taper the closed end because I wanted it to look similar to the cap end of the pen. Although it did look a weird at first without a tapered end or hardware on the closed end, the positive feedback and looking at some commercially available fountain pens helped. Thank you so much for looking and, as always, your encouragement. Wizard

Nice try on ya first, maybe with your next closed end you could taper the end off a bit.

I think it's quite beautiful, but I agree with John, I'd be inclined to have a rounded end. Of course, I have yet to try one of these, so I'm in awe of the beautiful job you did!
