Tried my hand at a clip tonight.
Got it on there okay - the finial fits pretty good - but I used a larger than necessary bit to drill the recess for the clip ring - so it's wobbly side to side like crazy. I shouldn't have made an entire cap - just practiced fitting the clip in the recess and getting it all tight. Oh well. I'll do that later.
I just used a couple pieces of leftover for this.
Also, the reason the cap is SO tall is b/c I made it to fit a pen I already have. It fits but - you know, it doesn't.
So, with a clip, the cap will need to be shorter so it doesn't look so awkward. It's about 5/8" in diameter.
