My first try at casting. I learned a lot of what not to do! Also my appreciation for the PR Princess went way up! Anyway, two cigars clear pr with painted tubes.

Bruce, you need to get your eyes checked. those are PENS! Not the stuff your wife uses in the shower. :biggrin::tongue:

Great casting. You did a great job on the casting and the turning. And since it isn't cactus, could you tell us what it is?

Several of you got it right off. It is loofa or loofah sponge (spelled both ways). Bought it off Ebay. Got the idea several months ago when I watched Roy cast cactus at the first Oklahoma gathering. Took photos of Roy's pressure pot and carrier and made me one similar.
I cored out the center of the sponge (black pen made from that) and then cut the body into strips (red pen)to fit my Gadget mold. My first try I had more on the table and floor than I did in the mold :eek:). I did decide I need more room if I am going to do this very often. Lots of fun and I owe my inspiration to Roy.
