MY FIRST CA/BLO finish!

Hey everyone!

I have spent the day having ago at using a CA/BLO finish, please let me know what you think (good and bad) and any advice is always welcome

That is the finish I use, mostly. Yours looks real good to me. Did you polish it after finishing with the CA/BLO? I normally give mine a polish, I use Hut Plastic, Brasso or some such polish and a real high speed on the lathe.

I think if I was staring at those long enough to do the finish on my lathe, my eyes would be bleeding. Looks like you're definitely going in the right direction! Keep it up!

Looks great. I've not had a chance to turn any of that before. I will have to pick up a few blanks next time I'm at Woodcraft.

Keep that pen and look at it in another 50, your first CA finish is much better than mine!
