Cap is a little fatter than I prefer, but overall, it's a nice job.

Well done. Fatness is a matter of personal preference, usually a bigger pen is more for men.
Folks here like details. e.g. type of wood, plating, how you finished, etc. Helps with the sharing/learning process.

The wood is redwood burl. I sanded to 1500 grit, used Hut friction polish and then finished with 6 coats of lacquer. The kit is the gold upgrade. Thanks for the input. I'll know what to include next time.
