I wanted to try this to even see if it could be done....

Curly Hickory top, with the pen itself being Curly Maple, Buckeye Burl, and Walnut, segmented at a 45.

The top was the real challenge on this one. I need to do better on sanding in between the openings, but I was really happy I was even able to do this. I opted for a satin finish also.

Please bear with the photos, I spend more time on the pens than I do the camera!!!

Whenever I see a COOL pen like this, I always like to look at the photo album.
You make some really nice pens!!!

On a fountain pen I could see it drying out.. I'm not sure how long it would take for a rollerball to dry out, I may leave one out to see.

Great idea the pen looks cool.

Could you put a plastic piece in the cap that could seal the rollerball? Just not sure where you would find it.
