I forged the metal billet myself, which was a learning experience. :biggrin: The pen kit is Artisan Exemplar. I made an album of the build process that you can see here:

Goals for next time include better welds, increasing my layer count, and improving my etching technique.

That's a very interesting looking pen, I'll have to look into your tutorial. I own a Damascus blank, I've owned it for a couple of years. I haven't even looked into how to turn it yet, are they difficult to work with?

Depend's on damascus style, but THEY ARE DIFFICULT to turn. Needs metal lathe and a lot of sanding.
