I cast this at our club meeting last month. I was going for red white and blue. But the red turned out pink.. O well. this was made with alumilite white. With some helping hands, I got it all in the mold before the 90 seconds was up. I didnt think it was very well distributed. But this is one of my best blanks I have ever cast. I LOVE ALUMILITE!!!!!! I am definitively going to get some. I didnt find a single bubble when i was turning. It was like turning stabilized butter, so much fun. I put it on a rhodium jr gent 2. This is the old model, at least i think. The threads are different on this jr gent 2 than on my other jr gent 2 that I got from exotics. I picked it up from another club member. I love it, What do you think?

It's looking good. Alumilite's red dye is not as potent as some of the other colors, so you have to use more to keep it from looking pink. Also, when you mix dyed and white resin, some of the color overtakes some of the white, so if you want balanced results, you have to use proportionally more white.

I hope that makes sense,
Eric

Yes, that makes sense. I guess I will just have to play around with it
