Rifle Cartridge using a Gold Half Twist Cigar kit.
Have always been using Cross refills where you don't have to do any modification of the finial or clip.
Still have a lot of work to do at modifying a slimline 7mm rifle clip with antler finial to fit the cigar upper tube.

Wow that is a nice pen. I like the Parker cartridges but it is hard to get some component sets that use them.
If you read Les's first line of this post, you will see he has used a Cigar kit which comes with the Parker cartridge and the necessary tranny.

Quite ingenious, and the nicest pen I remember seeing using a rifle cartridge and antler!

Nice work Les!

You can also go to woodnwhimsies.com and buy just the components that you need to make this type of pen.

I love the parker style refill. They work so much better than cross. Plus they are that much more sellable. I have never seen a deer antler finial before. How hard was that to make? Overall great job on the pen.
