My oldest daughter just finished cosmotology school! I thought she would like this, since she really is a Diva! It was a big hit with her and her friends at the school!
I painted the tube a solid pink and glued a scissors charm to the tube then cast in a clear poly resin.
Just thought I would share! Thanks for looking! Comments/criticism always welcome.

VERY cool idea and a very nice pen. I have heard that painted tubes can sometimes react to the PR. Did you use any particular paint?

lol, Thanks Toni!!
Jim i use spray paint from Lowe's~Valspar I think~costs about 3 or 4 bucks, but it covers evenly. I find the biggest thing is letting it cure for a few days, then I spray a clear over the pink(or whatever color) and let that cure for a day or two. then cast it. If you don't let it cure long enough it has a tendency to 'wrinkle' in a spot or two and basically ruining the blank. DAMHIKT!

I know someone else who would love that pen.

Very Nicely Done! :)

I'm amazed that you can get what appears to be "a solid pink cast" using that method. I need to try that sometime.

Thanks for posting it Jennifer!
