This time a pen with Camphor Wood and Ebony with some abalone shell inlays. The Camphor Wood I brought back from Sanyi in Taiwan on my last visit, they carve and turn a lot of this wood. The smell when I was turning this pen was very pleasant indeed.

If ever you have the chance to visit Taiwan take a day to visit Sanyi town it's a woodworker's paradise with a mile of shops selling everything wood, a wood museum and a street where you can watch artists carving beautiful things.

Check it out - Taiwan, one of Asia's must-see destinations!

Enjoy . . . .

A Beautiful Pen, Steve.
Camphor is a Terrific wood to turn, and has a great head clearing action, with the smell lingering for quite a long time.
Your combination of Ebony and Abalone Shell Inlays lifts it to a new height.
Excellent Segmenting, Fit and Finish.
Congratulations,
Brian.
