Here is another pencil I finished off. I use pencils for work, so I probably make more than most.. I think this may replace the goncallo alves one I posted yesterday in my pocket for now.. The wood is Imbuya with a dual paduck inlay. Greek key fancy Berea kit.

This is also my favorite slimline shape with a slight buldge on the cap and a straight barrel. It has a buffed lacquer finish.

PS.. I tried this same inlay on maple, guess what?? The maple sucked in the red color and took on a neat pink shade when sanding / alcohol cleaning. I said what the heck and finished it off anyway. My wife loves it, it will be hers when the finish is done. :D

Yea it is very subtle looking. If you get back more then a foot or so you can't even notice it. I have tried this a couple times and have had a couple that did not get fully glued & tight, but I switched to using two wood jaw screw clamps and can use their leverage to really crank down on them.
