a family musician was complaining about her pencil fall down several levels of risers at rehearsal, so i came up with a tethered holder. this is a jack Danial's barrel , with the top part of a key chain, a necklace, and a small magnet(not attached yet) to anchor it to stand. pencil is removable, so it can be replaced.
we'll see how it holds up under symphonic testing.

Is there like a 'O'-ring or something in there to retain the pencil? Or is this magic


Your friend will just need to develop a new way to drop pencils now! Pretty cool!

now is just magic(friction fit), i will add a small 'o' ring i think in metal on the eraser will eat up the wood holding it in
