music Baton

I made this conducting baton for an ex-student who is a mucic major with an emphasis in conducting. Made from maple dyed with green aniline dye. Shaft is popular painted white. Entire baton has 5 coats of spray lacqauer.

That one looks really nice. I have turned a few wands and they are a lot of fun. I made one for my youngest son and all the kids in the neighborhood wanted one. (They all wanted to be Harry Potter.) I ended up having to make a dozen. If you haven't tried one, they are really good, fun spindle practice.
