I made two similar ones to this not long ago. I like this style and is simple and quick to make. This one is also made from the same antenna rod that I scavaged. I forgot to shorten the bottom tube to take the twist nib so the whole pen ended up about 7mm longer than normal. I can't shorten it now without messing up the spacing of the segments. I took the extra pic to show the effect that makes me like it.

Extremely nice, I've got about a 5 ft piece of 3/4 inch square aluminum thats just waiting until I get up the nerve to give it a spin. One question what are you using to glue the PR to the aluminum?
