Hi,
here are my first fountain pens, Barons made from Grenadill and stabilized Buckeye Burl. Does anybody know, whether this is the original color of Buckeye burl, or is it dyed?

Sure looks like some naturally color buckeye Burl to me. Buckey tends to be a fairly plain cream color but can contain some blue/green/grey coloration, which I believe to be some kind of decay or spalting process.

Looks natural to me. It does dye very nicely though. I made a couple of OSU Buckeye pens for my nephew and his wife and dyed half the pen scarlet. Came out very nice.
