Hello,
I havent had any time to turn the last few weeks and finally got a chance this weekend. This is a wormy buckeye gold & blue amalga-mutt blank, the top of the cap blew off shortly after the blank was round. I parted off the remaining chunks and sat down with a little brain lubricant (mmmmmm....beeeeeer) to go through my scrap box to find a suitable match. I had a small chunk of Merlin left over from Exotic Blanks that looked like it would match pretty well. Then, I thought that I should put the beer cap to use. Ive never segmented before but Ive heard people use cans and stuff, so why not a cap. It came together pretty well, might have to give this segmenting thing a try from the start, but need to get some thicker metal, it doesn't really show up unless you really look for it.
