I just finished a moose antler cigar for my nephew (his friend, actually). Also had one last purse pen kit so I did that as well. All comments welcome.

Gary,
You can use the paddle on some moose antler (if not too porous and/.or cracked) but it can take a lot of CA to stabilize and I don't find it usually worth the effort. However, the tines have some good solid bone (with some denser marrow) sections and sometimes along the sides of the paddle where it is thicker and 3/4 hard except where it joins the center marrow. Plus the base of the antler usually has a big chunk of the good stuff. All in all - there is a lot more usable on a good size moose antler than I originally thought. Fellow IAP member jrc suggested using random cuts of the moose antler palm to make pen holders (which I plan to try when time allows).
