Buckeye burl is one of my favorite of all woods to work with. It is my best seller, hands down. Sometimes it takes a little CA filling of the knots as you go but the result is spectacular. I love the infinite shades of browns and grays and I've even had some that turn out greenish without dying. It finishes with a depth that is every bit as good as any acrylic and it looks different depending on what light you view it with.

I like the shape! I wouldn't of thought it would look that nice on the that kit! Great job finishing too, I may need to get more BEB now

Actually, it is almost like glass. The picture doesn't do the luster justice. I seal all grain with thin CA followed by 8 coats of gloss lacquer applied via a squeegee.
